Covid 19 is devastating the poor globally. The New Hope project in northern Ethiopia is doing what it can to help but the need is overwhelming. For the past 6 or 7 years the project has been providing vocational training, micro-loans and village savings and loans programs to help the poorest of the poor start businesses and earn their way out of poverty. The Covd-19 has reversed much of what it took 7 years to develop as the people are unable to work and starvation looms.
